| Hi! My name is Tyler, but feel free to call me Ty. I am 27 years and have lived in the Lansing, MI area since May 2007. I was born in raised in South Bend, IN. South Bend is the home of Ryan Newman and David Stremme. I am not really a fan of Ryan, but I have always liked David. Growing up in South Bend, I am a huge Notre Dame fan. I have been married since Nov. 08, and I
sometimes wonder what I have gotten myself into. HA! We don't have any children at the moment, and right now that
isn't in any near future plans. Our kid right now is our dog, Bailey, a 15 month old yellow lab. I love to travel and will seldom ever turn down an opportunity to do so. Alright, enough with the borefest, below I will tell my NASCAR story... I began watching NASCAR in 2001, and at the time I never imagined that I would become as devoted and as attached to is as I am today. One Sunday afternoon a friend and I were at another friends house. She was at work and didn't have cable. After flipping through the six or seven local stations, our choices were limited to religious shows, infomercials, or NASCAR. We decided to drink beer and watch NASCAR. Knowing little about the sport, we chose cars who were sponsored by companies that we related with. I chose the Budweiser car, not knowing at the time that it was none other than upcoming superstar Dale Earnhardt Jr. We had a blast that day watching the race. I don't remember where the Budweiser car finished that day, I don't remember what track they were at, I don't know what ever happened to the friend that I watched with that day, but what I do remember is that is the day I became a NASCAR fan. In 2005, I discovered my least favorite driver, Kyle Busch. I cheered at any misfortune that he would encounter. Midway through the season, I asked myself why I hated him. I realized at that time that I really didn't have a reason. As the rest of the season progressed, I slowly became a Kyle Busch fan. Here I am now, full blown fan. I catch hell for it at times, but I don't care. Disclaimer: I had to cut myself short, because I knew if I didn't I was on the path to writing a book, so I had to call it quits. |
