On October 11, 2006 Ragan was named full time driver for the #6 car replacing long-time driver Mark Martin. He ran the remainder of 2006 in the # 60 no fear racing banner( A Rousch- affiliated team)

He did not make a race in the #60 . During the of the season he was restricted from running 1.5 ovals due to poor performance at Martinsville speedway where he was involved in several incidents. Tony Stewart called him a "dart without feathers".

His first start in the # 6 car was the Daytona 500, where he finished 5th.He finished runner up to Juan Pablo Montoya for rookie of the year. He also competed a full season in the Busch series, finishing 5th in points, and was named rookie of the year.
Also Ragan suffered more accidents than any other driver with 26 in 2007. He is one of a handful drivers that wear their blood type on their uniform, Ragan's blood type is 0 positive.
Ragan will be sponsored in 2009 by UPS.

The reason i like this kid so much is because of his attitude and never give up frame of mind. He is very respectful of other drivers and of his crew. I think in 2009 we will see him in the Chase. He was a very improved driver in 2008. Looking forward to seeing a good year for him in the 2009 season.
