Joey started racing at a very early age, he was just the tender age of 4 when his Daddy had him in a cart drving around 40 yard roll off dumpsters.

He was racing quarter midgets by the age of 6, and had many trophies already, and by the age of 9, he was racing legend cars against other guys ranging between 15-65 years old.  by the age of 15, NASCAR veteran Mark Martin, started calling Joey, "The real deal" Now at the age of 18, Joey has become the youngest driver to win a Nationwide series race, in just his third series start, he was 18 years 21 days, plus he won the race from the pole! He has many achievements along the way to his Cup ride, In his only 10 Nationwide starts, he has 7 top tens, 3 top fives, two poles and a win. He is a Camping World East Champion, and has been called "The greatest thing since sliced bread" Well when Feburary rolls around and the hammer drops to start the '09 season and the 51st. running of the Daytona 500, we all are gonna see how true to form that really turns out to be!! :)

The #20 Home Depot team is expecting to pick back up on their winning ways, Crew Chief Greg Zipadelli, hopes to

teach Rising rookie star Joey Logano what it takes to be a championship winning driver, as he was a huge part in winning two championships with NASCAR's Superstar driver Tony Stewart, who is leaving this #20 ride, to drive and co-own his own team Stewart/HASS Racing, teaming up with a fellow Hoosier Ryan "Rocket Man" Newman.

I feel if Joey Logano listens and learns from Zipadelli, drives with a cool head, and doesn't try to take more than he can get, and doesn't try to be the Chief, before he plays the part of the warrior, In other words, He has to be a rookie before he can be a veteran driver, I think he will do just fine. I really hope him skipping to the Cup series right away doesn't do him, and his fellow drivers a disfavor by not having enough experience to get the job done safely, He may just come out at Daytona and make us all believers in his abilities, Only time will tell! Good Luck to him and his team, may they have a great safe season. Here's to him showing us some of why they anointed him "The best thing since sliced bread" One thing is for sure, He has been handed a Super Star Racing team! Let's see if he can become a Superstar Driver?!!
