Loudon Fantasy League Scores

Again many thanks to Karfil :bel:  Nutter :uk: and :fish:

Normally I try to write something but this week I’m going to start qith a little sad news. During the week I will try and put something extra up.

Pattie Petty, the wife of former NASCAR driver Kyle Petty, has revealed that she has Parkinson’s disease. It was confirmed through a new test at the University of Kansas Hospital. Petty talked exclusively with FOX 4 medical reporter Meryl Lin McKean, and says Parkinson’s won’t stop her efforts to build a camp in Kansas City for kids with chronic illnesses. Petty is the sunny personality beside husband Kyle, and behind Victory Junction, a camp for sick kids. Petty noticed mood changes in recent years, and she linked them to the death of their son, Adam, in a crash 11 years ago. “I just assumed the depression or the emotional mood swings were that I’d lost my son, my husband’s job had changed, I see the children at camp and they’re not healthy and I can’t fix it,” she said. Petty is now living and working in Kansas City to build a camp like North Carolina’s Victory Junction near the Speedway. The down economy was making fundraising harder, and she thought maybe that was behind the depression, too. But she had another symptom her hands shook. While having dinner with a doctor in Nashville 18 months ago, she asked if it could be Parkinson’s Disease.

Just last week, Petty had a brand new test called DaTscan to confirm the diagnosis. It looks at function of the brain instead of anatomy by spotting changes in brain chemistry. Petty wants others to know she has Parkinson’s, but she hasn’t lost her wits. “It’s always nice to get all the facts that my cognitive skills are there,” she said. And her desire is there to keep working for the kids. “Nothing’s gonna stop me.

“Pattie’s dedication to Victory Junction Midwest is firm,” said Kyle Petty, her husband of 33 years. “Staying active is an important part of managing Parkinson’s and that will not be hard for my wife. Pattie will not let Parkinson’s regulate her life. She will continue her initiative to expand Victory Junction, while our kids and I will support her and help her cope with this disease.

Our thoughts and prayers out of to Pattie, Linda and the Petty family.

If ya would’ve told me that the teams that have been on a roll would have handling trouble and never get it right I would’ve said your crazy. If ya would’ve told me that the teams that have been finishing mid-pack would be contenders I would’ve thought they had a buy one get one free at the beer cooler. But if ya would’ve told me that most of the front running cars would run out of gas on the last laps I might of joined ya at the beer cooler to see what was in the stuff. LOL

Was I the only one that was surprised when all the teams were on the radios and worried about gas mileage I figured for sure somehow, someway there would be a magic debris caution. You know the one, the duct tape that looks like metal or the hot dog wrapper that looks just like a crush panel that fell off. Then the question would be who would still take the chance and stay out? I’m sure a couple would try the shut it off and coast thinking they would make it. I’m glad they didn’t cause I like the results just fine.

I do think we saw them demise of one team cause I really don’t think that with the new points system that any team can have a mulagain like in the past and win.

Richmond Fantasy League Scores

Again many thanks to Karfil :bel:  Nutter :uk: and :fish:

A Note from Karfil:

In the Nascar.com game CR Racing won 2nd segment in first league and
CFH88 in 2nd league.

Don’t know how this game will go on, but following players are playing
in the Chase to win a trip to the banquet : CR Racing, Teds Lugnets and CFH88. Only 3  because CR Racing won both segments.

These 3 are playing winners from other leagues and the final winner can
go for free to the banquet, so maybe CFH88 can rock 3WA there :)

Greetings,
Karfil ‘Iron Man’

Atlanta Fantasy League Scores

Well we had to wait until Tuesday but with the amount of rain some received from Lee they’re lucky they didn’t get the flooding rains. I don’t think they could’ve raced Monday I do feel bad for those with tickets and Monday off having a BBQ holding an umbrella, figuring out how to call work and tell them how they need one more day off.

I’m sure by now unless ya’ve been out in deep space ya heard Danica is full time in Nationwide and 10 Cup races with Tony next year. With the amount of drivers with contracts up for renewal Mark Martin seems like the right pick to run the car for 26 races to get it in the top 35 and a guaranteed starting spot. All that’s needed is a sponsor. Between Mark and Tony I don’t think ya could ask for a better pair of teachers. Robbie Gordon already said he wouldn’t give up the #7 even with him having a lack of sponsors and was going to be a start and park for the rest of the year except for a few races he did have sponsorship for.
